India today is at a brink of change, to obtain of what is popularly known as “demographic transition” which has been walked over by many developed countries. Our country now severely faces a shortage of well-trained employees in various sectors and industries. There are only 2.3% of the workforce in India who have skills training as compared to 68% in UK, 75% in Germany and 52% in USA. But our Prime Minister’s Pet project “Skilled India” aims to skill 500 million men and women by the year 2022 creating employment opportunities and drive the economic growth of the country. And, to implement the large scale skill development programme all over India, the Government closely works with the State Government to fore the National Skill Development Mission.
